Chimney Sweep
Creosote graded to NFPA 211 Stage 1–3, then swept clean and documented with photos.
Learn moreDone to the NADCA source-removal method, this is engineered cleaning, not a vacuum poked at a grille. The system is pulled under negative air, agitated with brushes, and the dislodged debris captured through HEPA collection across supply and return runs, plenums, and grilles. Negative air is what keeps the dislodged contaminants out of your living space — the method is the standard the result is measured against, cutting allergens, dust, and the energy the HVAC wastes pushing through buildup.
Prices shown are starting estimates and may change with the condition, access, and scope we find on site. Only a written quote from an on-site visit is a price we commit to.
Most "air duct cleaning" sold in this country is a vacuum hose at a few registers and a coupon price that should tell you everything. Texas Chimney Experts doesn't do that job. Duct systems get cleaned the way the National Air Duct Cleaners Association actually defines it — full source removal, negative-pressure containment, the whole supply and return system addressed, with before-and-after proof. It's the rigorous version of a service the industry has spent twenty years cheapening, and the only version worth paying for.
Consider what's actually measured in a neglected duct system. Years of settled dust and dander, construction debris in a newer home, pet and pollen load, and — in humid climates and on wet evaporator coils — microbial growth the blower pushes into every room each cycle. Cleaning the registers does nothing about the trunk lines, the plenums, and the return chamber where the heaviest load collects. A real cleaning has to reach all of it, and reaching all of it is the work.
The method is deliberate and contained. The system is put under negative pressure so loosened debris is captured, never released into your home. Listed access ports are cut where needed and rotary brushes and compressed-air whips run through the supply trunk and every branch, the return trunk and return drops, the plenums, and the registers, grilles, and diffusers — each pulled, washed, and HEPA-vacuumed. The evaporator A-coil and the squirrel-cage blower wheel are cleaned, where biofilm and caked dust quietly strangle airflow and breed odor. Every access port is then closed with a listed plug or door, so the system is serviceable next time. For clients who want it, the job finishes with an EPA-registered antimicrobial fogging to treat lingering odor and microbial growth, with particulate, VOC, and humidity levels documented before and after to prove the result.
The TCE finish is the documentation and the honesty. You get before/after photos of the trunk interiors — the part you'd otherwise never see — and a clear statement of what was found and what was done. Ducts that are reasonably clean and don't need the full source-removal treatment are reported as such, because a brand's credibility is worth more than a single oversold job. That posture is exactly why property managers, allergy-sensitive families, and high-end homeowners across the country standardize on us.
This hub spans whole-home NADCA source-removal cleaning; supply and return trunk, branch, and plenum cleaning; register, grille, and diffuser pull-and-wash; evaporator-coil and blower-wheel cleaning; post-construction drywall-dust cleanout; antimicrobial fogging; commercial RTU and VAV duct cleaning and balancing; and the IAQ documentation that proves it all. The related sealing, replacement, and air-quality upgrades live in their own hubs (D2–D4) and pair naturally with a cleaning.
Because TCE is a national brand built on a single craftsmanship standard, the NADCA method and the documentation are identical in every market — a duct cleaning in Atlanta is the same rigorous job as one in Austin. You're not hoping the local coupon company owns the right equipment; you're getting the brand that earned its name on premium chimney work, applied to the air your family breathes. The premium is in the containment, the coverage, and the proof.

Family-owned, CSIA-certified, NFPA 211–compliant. We're the team you call when you want it done right the first time — no rotating subcontractors, no upsell pressure, no surprises. Same techs, same trucks, same standard.

The standard is condition-driven, not calendar-driven: NFPA 211 ties cleaning to a measured 1/8" of creosote accumulation, and a Level 1 inspection is the way we confirm you've reached it. For a wood-burning fireplace in regular use that typically lands at once per heating season — but we measure the buildup and tell you what the flue actually shows rather than assuming.
Yes — and verifiably so. Our inspectors hold current CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) certifications you can confirm yourself in the CSIA member directory at csia.org, and our fireplace work is handled by NFI specialists. We name the standard we inspect to so you can check the credential behind the report.
Yes. We respond 24/7 (subject to crew availability) to the situations that can't wait for a diagnosis later — an active water leak into the home, an animal trapped in the flue, post-fire hazards, and storm damage. We make the system safe first, then document the cause; same-day in most cases.
Always — and with the evidence attached. Before any work starts you receive a written quote backed by photos of exactly what we found and why it needs attention. Final pricing follows the documented condition of the chimney and anything the inspection turns up, not a number guessed before we've looked.
Flue Watch is our annual maintenance plan at $19.99/month ($240/year): a documented Level 1 inspection and sweep every year ($248 value), priority scheduling, 10% off all repairs, and emergency-response priority. It's the way to keep a year-over-year record of your system's condition. Cancel anytime, no contract.
